My Mission
It is my goal to diligently refine my art form and in the process help spread a greater appreciation for this type of jewelry as well as the wonders which nature has bestowed upon us. Along the way, I hope to meet and connect with as many people as possible.
About Me
My name is Isaac and I have been making jewelry since November of 2004 (a little over 3 years). I have had an affinity for crystals and natural beauty for quite a long time but it was when a friend showed me a developing new style of wire wrapped jewelry which utilized these earthly forms, that I decided to embark on my quest to be a part of it.
I have spent much time, money and effort working towards honing my skills in this medium and I am completely self taught in all the aspects of jewelry construction that I use in my work. I myself do not teach any classes but hope to one day when the time is right. I also intend to seek some formal instruction in silver smithing within a year's time - if possible.
I currently call Asheville, North Carolina home and I am very fond of the area. We are blessed here with so much beauty, culture and awareness. It has shaped me as a person in ways which I cannot even yet understand and I am grateful for the experience.
I am so glad to have found this art form and for all of the wonderful people and things it has brought me. Some of my very best friends would not be a part of my life today had I not started making jewelry and for that I am very thankful.
So I'll leave it at that for the time being.
Thanks to everyone for the love and support.
- Isaac

About This Site
Before venturing into the world of jewelry, I ran my own web development/graphic design company and before that, freelanced for a handful of other organizations. I designed and setup this website using both Photoshop (for the graphic work) and Dreamweaver (for the page layouts). I also use the PHP programming language as well as MySQL databases for general functionality. The gallery sections (for example the items for sale and past work areas) are setup using the program Gallery 2 which I have heavily customized. Its free for everyone to use and it rules!
It is not by any means easy for a beginner to create a website like this (I have over 7 years of experience under my belt) so I recommend that anyone interested in doing so contact a competent web designer. |
